(UNDATED) - It’s the beginning of a new year, that means its tax season.
IRS Spokesperson Jodie Reynolds says W2's will be sent out soon, but employers have until February 2nd to get it to you.
She says the number one mistake made when filing taxes, is wrong social security numbers or mismatched names. She says to double check the number and the name to make sure they are correct, or your return will be disallowed.
Reynolds adds in these tough economic times, if you've been hit hard, the IRS will work with you on an installment plan to pay any owed taxes.
