(BLOOMFIELD) - Six Greene County inmates crawled through a jail ceiling to drink and have sex may not have to face felony escape charges.
A Greene County Superior Court judge ruled that because the three male and three female inmates never left the jailhouse, they couldn't be found guilty of escaping.
Jail officials were made aware of the nighttime escapades when a male inmate - who wasn't involved - told them he'd seen women appearing in the men's cell block 15 times last fall.
Greene County Prosecutor, Jarrod Holtsclaw says he's considering an appeal.
