(UNDATED) - Missing pilot Marcus Schrenker was taken into custody in Gadsden County, Florida Tuesday night.
The 38-year-old Indiana investment manager disappeared, Sunday, after he crashed his plane in an elaborate stunt to fake his own death.
U.S. Marshal Service Spokesperson Steve Blondo says Schrenker was found with wounds that appeared to be self-inflicted and was hospitalized. Schrenker was taken into custody just after 10 pm. He was found in a tent at a campground in Quincy.
He said one of Schrenker's wrists was cut, but that he was alive and in custody. Schrenker was transported to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.
Indiana authorities were probing Schrenker's financial management businesses -- Heritage Wealth Management Inc., Heritage Insurance Services Inc. and Icon Wealth Management -- for possible securities violations.
