(LEBANON) - A Lebanon woman charged with killing her 14-year-old disabled daughter has rejected a plea deal.
38-year old Elizabeth Fairfield was indicted last November. An autopsy stated the girl, who had Down Syndrome, had a high level of pain medication in her system when she was found dead in June 2007.
Fairfield rejected the deal which called for her to plead to one count of reckless homicide. She would have been sentenced to 6 years, but would only spend 2 of them in prison.
Fairfield's trial is set for March 31st.
