(EVANSVILLE) - Four Red Cross shelters are still open for residents affected by power outages in the Evansville area.
Red Cross Spokeswoman Emily Zander says they had more than 500 people in those shelters Thursday.
She says the shelters are not like being at home, but the amenities are a whole lot better than being in a house without power.
Zander say members of the Indiana National Guard have been out in humvees bringing people into the shelters if they can't get there on their own.
