(FORT WAYNE) - A second veterinary student has died from a fire in Fort Wayne.
18-year-old Renea Patton died Monday, three days after the fire at the Willows of Coventry apartment complex. Her roommate, 19-year-old Jennifer Spurgeon died of smoke inhalation Saturday.
Patton, Spurgeon and another roommate were taken to a hospital in critical condition after firefighters pulled them from their burning second-floor apartment.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
