(BATESVILLE) - Dave and Joe Herbert will receive a hero’s welcome in their hometown of Batesville, Indiana; the brothers won one-million dollars for their ad meter-topping Super Bowl Doritos ad.
February 12th will be declared Joe And Herbert Day. A parade is also planned at 11:45 through downtown to city hall, and the brothers will receive their check.
A meet and greet is also planned from 5-7pm at the Southeastern Indiana YMCA, where they shot the commercial.
The aspiring filmmakers won the prize from Doritos-maker Frito-Lay when their spot was voted most popular in "USA Today's" Super Bowl ad meter real-time consumer poll taken during the championship game.
"From shattering a vending machine full of Doritos with a snow globe to throwing the crystal ball at the boss, the duo says the inspiration for their commercial is based on ideas they felt would evoke laughter and emotion from the audience.
