(SHELBYVILLE) - With spring just around the corner, the National Weather Service is training storm spotters in Central Indiana.
The group will hold a two-hour session Thursday at Waldron High School in Shelby County to help participants learn about cloud and wind patterns associated with severe weather.
National Weather Service Warning Coordinator Dave Tucek says potential spotters will also learn how to interpret weather radar data, and how to remain safe during severe weather.
The meeting from 7 to 9pm is free and open to everyone.
