Couple Charged With Neglect After Death Of Infant Son

(VALPARAISO) - A Valparaiso couple is accused of neglect for failing to prevent the death of their infant son in 2007.

31-year-old Ronald Zitt and his 30-year-old wife, Rhonda, each face up to three years in prison on felony charges of neglect of an infant.

Authorities say the couple failed to monitor the baby's apnea.

The parents also let the newborn sleep on his stomach on top of an adult pillow.
