(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Indiana Black Expo is lowering its ticket prices for this year’s summer celebration in response to the downturn economy.
The registration fee for the education conference has been slashed from $99 to $49. Workshops for the black business conference are free.
The summer celebration typically attracts 300,000 attendees who spend an estimated $72 million dollars in Indianapolis. Black Expo Spokeswoman Chelsea Hendon says organizers hope to keep it that way by offering discounted ticket prices and more activities and exhibits than ever.
This year's celebration is July 9th through July 19, featuring musical performances by Sugarhill Gang, SWV and Eric Benet.
