(STATEHOUSE) - As final negotiations begin on a fix for Indiana’s bankrupt unemployment fund, house speaker Patrick Bauer is warning that democrats won’t accept any cut in benefits.
Senate republicans say only two states reimburse a higher percentage of lost pay than Indiana.
Leaders in both chambers have moved quickly to appoint the four-member conference committee in charge of hammering out a final bill by the April 29 deadline.
