(PLAINFIELD) - One person was hospitalized after fire broke out in a unit of the Clover Motel in Plainfield Sunday morning.
Plainfield Assistant Fire Chief Brian Russelll says the fire was under control within 15 minutes.
Six people, including three Plainfield police officers who were helping people out of the other units, were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.
Investigators are working to determine the cause but believe it started in the unit where the hospitalized person was staying.
A Red Cross spokesperson says 10 of the 14 people who live at the motel will receive assistance while they're being temporarily displaced.
