(INDIANAPOLIS) - Two greater Indianapolis Red Cross volunteers arrived in Fargo, North Dakota Wednesday in an emergency response vehicle to help victims of the predicted record flooding.
Frank Kominowski and Jan Ferland were delayed getting to the Fargo-Moorhead area by ice and winter driving conditions. They're the first Hoosiers arriving to help residents of the Red River Valley prepare for flooding. The area is expecting a record-breaking flood by Saturday.
The Red Cross volunteers assigned duties are expected to include driving meals to shelters and delivering food and clean-up kits to homes affected by the flooding.
