(FLATROCK) - Indiana state police say and Shelby County officers shot and killed a man who’d beaten and stabbed two people inside a home in south Flatrock.
Law enforcement officers were called to the home Friday evening - after a report of domestic violence.
When they arrived they found a man who'd been stabbed several times, and a woman who'd been beaten.
When they found the suspect, 36-year-old Roger Jones, of Indianapolis, behind a barn outside the residence, they say he wielded a knife.
Officers say Jones refused to put the knife down on command and advanced toward them.
That's when they shot him. Jones died at the scene.
