(WEST LAFAYETTE) - Local and state transportation officials are meeting at Purdue University for the 95th annual Purdue Road School.
The conference began in 1914 to keep transportation officials up to date on the latest designs and materials and has since grown to incorporate public and private entities at the city, county, and state levels.
The Purdue Road School's John Habermann says this year's conference is focusing on the monies that will soon be distributed across the state from the president's economic stimulus bill and the traffic issues associated with Indianapolis hosting the 2012 Super Bowl.
Habermann says the Purdue Road School is unique compared to other state transportation conferences because it includes officials on the county and municipal levels.
