(GOSHEN) - The Indiana Court of Appeals has ruled the prison sentence of a former Goshen teacher convicted for his sexual trysts with students, was too severe.
43-year-old Mel Trowbridge had sex with two teen girls in 2006.
In January of 2008, he was sentenced to 35 years in prison and 10 years on probation.
On Thursday, the court of appeals revised Trowbridge's sentence to 25 years - saying the 45 year sentence was "inappropriate" given his lack of criminal history.
