Hoosiers Cancelling Trips South Of The Border

Last updated on Wednesday, April 29, 2009

(FORT WAYNE) - Indiana travel agencies are being bombarded with calls from customers worried about their travel plans in the wake of the swine flu outbreak.

Fort Wayne travel agent Allison Finco says her office has been dealing with Hoosiers who want to change or cancel their trips to Mexico.

She says most of those callers are being told that they are not eligible to receive total refunds, depending on airline and tour company regulations.

But Finco is telling her customers that they don't have much to worry about.

She maintains there have been no confirmed swine flu cases in tourist areas and most all-inclusive resorts involve little interaction with native residents.
