(INDIANAPOLIS) - Police say the age of drug dealers is getting younger and younger, but call the arrests of two elementary students unusual.
The 10-year-old and 11-year-old students were arrested this week at Brookview Elementary School on the Eastside of Indianapolis.
Sergeant Matthew Mount says police do not get a lot of calls about kids involved in the drug trade.
Mount calls the arrests disturbing. Police visit schools frequently to talk about the dangers of drugs and alcohol and say the programs are working.
The two students recently arrested for dealing drugs at their elementary school reportedly had 1.8 grams of marijuana.
Both have been suspended from school.
