(WESTFIELD) - Efforts are underway to get statewide recognition for a Fallen Hoosier Soldier Memorial.
As of today, 133 handmade white crosses in Westfield, Indiana list the names of every Hoosier lost in the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
A retired Army sergeant started the memorial in his front yard in 2002.
A dedication ceremony is planned June 14th.
