(FORT WAYNE) - A federal task force announced charges Thursday in Fort Wayne against 16 people involved in a citywide drug-trafficking network.
In a news conference, US Attorney David Capp stated that more than two pounds of cocaine and more than 200-thousand dollars were seized.
He says a lot of the information about the activities was captured over eight-months in cell phone conversations intercepted through wiretaps.
Investigators believe the head of the conspiracy was 38-year-old Andre Hutchins and his 31-year-old wife, Talitha.
Police say the couple ran a sophisticated cocaine-trafficking ring from their home.
Hutchins' 73-year-old mother, Arielean Hutchins, was also charged.
