(STATEHOUSE) - Governor Mitch Daniels is reassuring Hoosiers about the flu outbreak. Daniels says people should be reassured that for the moment, Indiana has a manageable situation.
While the governor says the outbreak associated with the human strain of swine flu is manageable, he adds state officials are monitoring the situation for changes. Daniels says so far, cases here are mild.
He says they are a severity 1, on a 5 point scale. Indiana reported one confirmed case of the flu which is classified by its technical name H1N1.
However, the victim, a Notre Dame student, has reportedly made a full recovery.
