(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indianapolis rock star Henry Lee Summer has been arrested on a charge of possessing methamphetamine.
An IMPD officer tried to stop Summer, whose real name is Henry Swartz, for a traffic violation after he saw the singer make a turn without signaling.
The officer says Swartz kept going and, at one point, tossed something out the window of his vehicle.
According to the police report, summer resisted when the officer tried to handcuff him and was sprayed with a chemical.
The officer found the container he says Swartz threw out the window and the substance inside was later determined to be meth.
Swartz is charged with possession of methamphetamine, obstruction of justice and resisting law enforcement.
Swartz was booked, then released on his own recognizance.
He's scheduled to appear in court next Tuesday.
Henry Lee Summer is best known for his hit top 40 hits "I Wish I Had A Girl" and "Hey Baby" in the late 1980's.
