(INDIANAPOLIS) - The new Indianapolis International Airport is ready for it’s first Indy 500 weekend.
The new airport complex is increasing staff in all areas to accommodate the number of race fans expected at the facility, however the actual number of travelers this year are projected to be down about 2000 people each day compared to last year.
Still Civic Plaza features a vintage car display to honor the 100th anniversary of the track and the Brickyard Authentics Gift Store is stocked with memorabilia for purchase.
The airport is also one of three locations for shuttle service to and from the motor speedway.
Long-term parking is 11 dollars per day while the garage is 16 dollars for the day.
The shuttle cost is 30 dollars round trip.
