(INDIANAPOLIS) - indianapolis City County Councilor Marilyn Pfisterer’s fifth annual job fair is Wednesday.
It's on the Westside of Indianapolis.
Pfisterer says the reason she started doing the fair is because people who have jobs help the community remain stable.
Last year the fair attracted about 15 hundred jobs seekers.
She's expecting at least that many people this year and wouldn't be surprised if the number doubles because of the number of recent layoffs.
Pfisterer says 27 employers are participating in the job fair this year.
She suggests job seekers treat the fair as a serious opportunity to find a job or get a better one.
Pfisterer says the site of the fair, Lakeview Church, is also equipped with Wi-Fi, allowing you to apply online for employment opportunities you discover.
