(UNDATED) - Several severe storms battered parts of Indiana Wednesday night and into this morning.
Meteorologist Steve Haines with the National Weather Service in Indianapolis says they received reports of as much as 3 inches of rain falling a 24 hour period.
Haines says the storms packed high winds as well, with the highest gust of 71 miles per hour at the Indianapolis International Airport.
Haines says due to the amount of rainfall, areas prone to flooding will do so in the coming days.
