(UNDATED) - Today is bike-to-work day.
There will be organized group rides in communities across the state, led by experienced cyclists.
With May being national bike month, the goal is to promote bicycle commuting as a viable option.
In Indianapolis, riders can follow the city's many bike paths and lanes.
Other options include commuting halfway with IndyGo.
The city buses are equipped with bike racks.
There'll be free parking for bicycles on monument circle.
"Providing Hoosiers with information and opportunities to make healthier commuting decisions is part of our mission," said Nancy Tibbett, Bicycle Indiana Executive Director.
"We are pleased to have so many collaborative partners join us in promoting this event to a growing community of bicyclists."
