(COLUMBUS) - A state disaster fund is awarding a roughly $4.4 million grant to Columbus Regional Hospital to help with its recovery from the June 2008 flood, which caused the hospital to close for about five months.
The grant comes from the 2008 Indiana Natural Disaster Fund, created by a $45 million Lilly grant that was given to the Indiana Association of United Ways to help after severe storms early in the year and after summer flooding.
The grant reduces CRH's gap between damages and reimbursements from $63 million to $58.6 million.
