(STATEHOUSE) - With a budget bill on its way to the house floor, the ways and means committee will turn its attention today to Indy’s Capital Improvement Board and with it, to gambling.
Governor Daniels' rescue plan for the board which oversees Indy's downtown stadiums and the convention center does not include gambling money.
But the committee is expected to tack on proposals to move one of Gary's lakefront casinos inland, and to provide some financial help for the racetrack casinos in Anderson and Shelby County.
