(STATEHOUSE) - Budget negotiators are turning their attention to school funding.
Democrats want to ensure that even districts with declining enrollment escape cuts.
Legislators also have to decide whether to limit the growth of charter schools.
Advocates say the one-charter-per-district cap democrats have proposed could disqualify the state from millions of dollars in new federal grants.
