(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indiana House budgeters are taking testimony on democrats’ proposed one-year budget.
Education groups are applauding the bill for delivering an average increase in school funding of two-and-a-half-percent, though republicans on the ways and committee say some fast-growing districts would receive less money per pupil.
Republicans also question democrats' assertion that they've met Governor Daniel's insistence on leaving a billion dollars in reserve.
There won't be a vote on the plan until next week.
