(UNDATED) - Climate change is the focus of a new federal report.
Midwest states including Indiana already are feeling the impact of climate change.
Average temperatures have risen in recent decades, and heavy downpours are now twice as frequent as they were a century ago.
The report also claims higher levels of urban ozone could result.
Congress is currently debating how to react to the changes.
