(UNDATED) - Youth at a Washington D.C. Episcopalian Church are disappointed and shocked by the actions of an Indiana-based travel agency.
The kids at Christ Church Georgetown were supposed to leave this week for a pilgrimage in Germany, arranged by British European Specialty Tours of Carmel.
However just days before the group was supposed to leave they received a letter from Best Tours indicating the company was out of business and the group would not receive a refund of their 40-thousand dollar investment.
Parishioner Rob Volmer says the youth spent 2 years fundraising for the trip and are shocked by the actions of the company.
Volmer says Best's President, Michael Sylvester and the law firm representing his company have refused to return phone calls.
The firm, Thrasher Buschmann Griffith & Voelkel, P.C. in Indianapolis says they have no comment on best tours or the situation.
The phone number for Best Tours has been disconnected and their website domain, bestconcerttours.com, has been sold and taken offline.
