(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Marion County commissioners are asking the state to keep the children’s guardian home open.
In April, the commissioners recommended closing the home; the 80-bed facility had just three kids in it at the time.
Now the panel says the home has had up to a couple of dozen kids at other times this year, and says it hasn't heard a good proposal for where those kids should go instead.
The final decision is up to the state department of child services.
