(EVANSVILLE) - 65 positions have been eliminated from Integra Bancorp.
The bank's Chairman and CEO made the announcement Friday, saying the company was laying off workers and cutting executive pay in order to improve its profits.
The cuts affect workers throughout Integra's offices in Evansville, and in cities in Illinois, Kentucky and Ohio.
22 Evansville workers will lose their jobs.
Proof of the bank's demise is in its stock performance.
On Friday Integra stock closed at 98 cents a share. It's traded as high as $10.33 a share in the past year.
