(STATEHOUSE) - Legislators want an outside audit of the IBM-led consortium determining welfare eligibility in 59 Indiana counties.
The Family and Social Services Administration halted the phase-in of the privatization last year to address glitches in the system.
Opponents argue too many people who are entitled to benefits are being turned down.
The house ways and means committee is expected to hold a hearing on the audit proposal this week.
