(STATEHOUSE) - The senate has passed its version of a new state budget, setting up the seven-day endgame of the special session.
Negotiators will have to decide whether to craft a budget covering one year, as the house has proposed, or the two years called for under state law.
They'll then have to close a billion-dollar gap between the house and senate.
