(CHURUBUSCO) - A popular festival in Northeast Indiana explores the legend of a giant turtle.
The "Turtle Days" festival begins today in Churubusco, celebrating the 60th anniversary of the town's hunt for "Oscar."
He's a snapper purportedly the size of a rowboat spotted in a local pond.
Turtle Day's Association President Kirk Gray says hundreds of people come to look for Oscar every year.
Although his "home" is now located on private property, curious onlookers can check out the pond from an adjacent county road.
