(CINCINNATI, OH) - Joey Votto hit a bases-loaded single with two out in the bottom of the tenth inning to give the Cincinnati Reds a 3-2 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Votto's single ended a frustrating day for the Reds, who failed to score on two previous occasions when they loaded the bases against Arizona starter Doug Davis.
The D-backs held a 2-1 lead entering the bottom of the ninth when pinch-hitter Drew Sutton drove home the tying run on a fielder's choice in his first major league plate appearance.
The reds took two of three in the series while the Diamondbacks suffered their tenth loss in their last twelve games.
