(UNDATED) - More than 500-thousand Indiana children and adults lack basic health care coverage.
The state's top education, health and social service officials hope to remedy that before school starts this fall.
Many of those not covered qualify for free or low-cost health insurance through the Hoosier Healthwise and Health Indiana plan programs.
At a series of events across the state, the covering kids and families of Indiana back-to-school campaign is providing on-site enrollment, plus free immunizations and health screenings.
