(WASHINGTON, D-C) - One of Indiana’s two senators is on record in support of Sonia Sotomayor’s nomination to the Supreme Court, but the other remains publicly undecided.
Neither Richard Lugar nor Evan Bayh sits on the judiciary committee, which recommended Sotomayor's confirmation Tuesday on a near-party-line vote.
Lugar was the first republican to announce he'd vote for Sotomayor.
Bayh praised Sotomayor's education and experience when President Obama nominated her in may.
But he stopped short of saying how he would vote.
