(WATKINS GLEN, NY) - The IndyCar Series runs the first of three-straight road races this weekend as they get ready for Sunday’s Camping World Grand Prix at Watkins Glen International.
Practice and qualifying are scheduled for Saturday.
Ryan Hunter-Reay will defend his 2008 win at the glen as he runs his third race for AJ Foyt racing.
Hunter-Reay is the third driver to sit in the number-14 ride since regular driver Vitor Meira suffered a severe back injury during the Indianapolis 500.
Target-Ganassi racing's Dario Franchitti enters the weekend with a one-point lead over teammate Scott Dixon in the championship standings.
