(SULLIVAN) - Authorities have launched a criminal investigation to the derailment of 22 rail cars in Sullivan County.
State police say when the train reached the end of the line, the lead car struck a metal barrier and caused the cars to derail and overturn.
The clean up is expected to cost nearly 1 million dollars.
Early investigation reveals the derailment was caused by equipment tampering.
