(INDIANAPOLIS) - About 30 Indiana National Guard soldiers are headed to Fort Lewis, Washington for final training prior to a deployment in Iraq.
The members are from the 2-150th fires team based in Indianapolis.
Major Kellard Townsend is the group's senior officer.
He says the 2-150th specializes in targeting for artillery fires and civil military operations.
A departure ceremony was held for the fires team Wednesday in Indianapolis.
