(PORTLAND) - A Portland, Indiana-based company says it has developed a solar power breakthrough that will allow homes and businesses to use the sun more efficiently as an energy source.
Sertech Heating and Air Conditioning used a $77,000 dollar grant from the US Department of Agriculture and a matching grant from the state to develop the new technology.
Director of sales Don Crawner says it involves using an environmentally friendly mix, instead of water, to store the sun's heat.
