(UNDATED) - Six percent of the deaths from the H1N1 flu virus in the US have been pregnant women.
The center for disease control has tracked the incidents of pregnant women with the H1N1 Flu virus from April through June.
Of the 34 confirmed cases, six have died.
Dr. David Haas, assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology with the IU school of medicine, says because the immune system of pregnant women is diminished, the virus is much worse for them.
