(STATEHOUSE) - The Bi-Partisan State Budget Committee wants Indiana University and Purdue University to back off from planned increases in tuition and fees.
All state supported colleges and universities are raising tuition and fees this fall, but the head of the committee, state senator Luke Kenley says the other schools are "so dependent on either state appropriations or tuition, and do not have other resources available to them, that they are not in the same category as IU or Purdue."
