(PRINCETON) - Toyota is investing a half billion dollars to retool its Princeton, Indiana assembly plant to build the highlander SUV.
Toyota spokesperson Kelly Dillon says all highlanders sold in the US are currently exported from Japan.
Bloomberg news reports the Indiana upgrade is the company's biggest single investment this year, more than double the amount spent in 2007 to add a Camry Sedan assembly line at the Subaru Plant in Lafayette.
