(EDINBURGH) - About 200 Indiana soldiers are scheduled to leave for Afghanistan this month, just as nearly 100 are expected home after a tour in Iraq.
The Indiana National Guard is holding the official departure ceremony today at Camp Atterbury for the 38th Infantry Division.
The Guard is also planning a welcome home ceremony this afternoon in Edinburgh for the 215th area support medical company.
About 90 soldiers have been in Iraq since august 2008, providing medical care in Balad, Iraq.
