(ELKHART, IN) - A former Elkhart police officer accused of driving under the influence when he crashed his squad car will serve two years of probation.
38-year-old Benjamin Kruszynski resigned from the force several days after the crash in may.
Police said Kruszynski was off-duty when he was going in excess of 100 mph.
He lost control and ran into a fence.
