(UNDATED) - A study is underway to help provide policy recommendations that will improve Indiana’s financial aid programs to better meet the needs of working adult students.
Many aid programs often choose to not address the needs of working adults.
The study identifies these barriers and offers 18 policy solutions to better align state funding with its workforce.
The Indiana Institute for Working Families received a 10-thousand dollar grant from the Lumina Foundation for education.
Research shows there's approximately a million adults in Indiana who lack basic education skills.
